CNC Machinist (Milling & Turning)

Company Profile
A small, highly regarded, growing and established subcontract engineering company, manufacturing precision machined parts and components for various industry sectors are now looking for a skilled CNC Machinist able to Programme Set and Operate both CNC Milling and CNC Turning machines.
There are 4 other CNC machinists and 9 in total across Machining, Fabrication / Weld and the office.

Job Profile
As the successful CNC Machinist, you will be reporting to the Works Manager and working alongside 4 other skilled CNC machinists.

Duties:
  • Programming Setting and Operating CNC Milling centres & CNC Lathes
  • From engineering drawings, create programs from scratch locally on the machines
  • Working with Fanuc and/or Heidenhain controls
  • Subcontract machining, producing 1off / bespoke components to tight tolerances for various industry sectors
  • Working with Stainless and Mild Steels and Aluminium

Skills & Experience:
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Able to create programs from scratch online
  • Programming Setting and Operating both CNC Mills & CNC Lathes
  • Previous subcontract machine shop experience would be an advantages
  • Manual machining experience would be an advantage

Hours of Work:
  • 39hrs per week
  • 7am to 4pm (1/2 hr lunch break), Monday to Thursday
  • 7am to 12pm, Friday
  • £14.00 to £15.00 p/hr
  • Overtime paid at x1.333 after 39hrs per week for first 4hrs, x1.5hrs after
