£30,000 to £35,000 OTE
(£23,000 to £26,000 basic + £7k to £8k bonus + company car)

Company Profile
An established, UK based, world-renowned manufacturer of CNC machine tools is seeking a CNC Service Technician enabling the company to provide efficient and cost-effective machine maintenance services in a field-based role in and around the Basingstoke area.
This role would suit an experience CNC Service Technician or a CNC machinist with an interest in moving into a Servicing role as full and comprehensive training will be provided.

Job Details:
  • Carry out machine servicing at customer sites as required by the Post Sales Manager
  • All electrical and mechanical work involved in servicing machines as defined in the servicing programmes and to the correct factory specifications (full training will be provided)
  • Liaising with customers’ staff to ensure co-operation and availability of items needed to complete the servicing
  • Liaising with the Service Manager to ensure the availability on site of all ancillary equipment needed to complete the servicing
  • Following the company’s Health & Safety procedures, and all additional Health & Safety procedures relating to the specific customer site
  • Reporting to the Service Manager and to customers' staff as appropriate
  • Promote the company’s range of servicing and warranty products 
  • Identify and generate reasonable and sensible opportunities for increased revenue
  • Identifying all replacement parts required and ensuring these are promptly ordered
  • Return back to customers to fit replacement parts identified during the servicing at a time agreed with the customer and Post Sales Manager
  • Other repair, maintenance and associated duties with personal development

Skills & Experience:
  • A proven history / track record of working with machinery
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Competent electrical ability
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Role Development:
  • Full product and servicing training will be given over an extended period
  • Develop ability to support through training in PDI, Service and Applications
  • Identify new ways of working, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximise revenue potentials
  • Personal development in the servicing role with a view to self-achievement and personal growth
  • Optionally this role could lead to that of a service engineer should the post sales service technician reach a required level of competence
